| Company Profile Reflecting the continual advances within Graphic Design, this course tackles an impressive number of areas over the three year program. The overall aim of the course is to provide graduates with relevant knowledge and experience of the key areas of the graphic design industry, and its interrelationship with key interfaces such as customers and clients, and target audiences, in order to develop a specialism/s to work in the graphic design industry, or to progress onto post-graduate study. The course is module-based encouraging each student to link the aesthetic sensibilities of design with the technical requirements of production, and the requirements of successful visual communication. The modules address illustration, typography, photography, editorial design, digital media, information design, branding and advertising. They also provide an introduction to design methodologies, issues, and relevant historical and contextual frameworks. Our students are successful and have achieved awards at national shows such as New Designers, undertaken numerous high profile placements and have had their work featured in industry magazines such as Digital Arts Magazine. We have an exciting programme of live briefs wherein competitive companies, such as NBC Universal and contemporary illustrators, such as Melvin Galapon, participate in setting the project and assessing your work. It is no surprise that given this level of vocational experience many of our graduates go on to high level employment within design studios, advertising companies, publishing houses, printing firms and education. |
