Why is New Designers important to you and your brand?
80% of our design studio are New designers Alumni, for many of us it gave us the opportunity to make contacts in the industry, sell pieces of work and meet our contemporaries at the very beginning of our careers. Now it is a great way for us to see fresh experimental work, meet and recruit new design talent.
Looking back to the start of your career, what advice would you love to give yourself?
Creatively it is the start of a journey, keep designing and making whilst you look for work. Study brands and artists so you understand other peoples’ stories and learn from them. Most of all, be brave and ENJOY!
What are your predictions for 2021 design trends and themes?
I believe people want colour in their lives natural greens and earth tones with bright pops to bring in some positivity. Lightness, integrity of design quality and nostalgia will all be key themes for a time in our lives when we appreciate things in a very new world.
