Looking back to the start of your career, what advice would you love to give yourself?
You’ve got to be proactive when working as a designer, it’s an incredibly popular and saturated industry. Producing good design is one part of the challenge and getting it seen is the next. You really must jump on every opportunity to get your work in front of eyes.
What are your predictions for 2021 design trends and themes?
You’ve got to be proactive when working as a designer, it’s an incredibly popular and saturated industry. Producing good design is one part of the challenge and getting it seen is the next. You really must jump on every opportunity to get your work in front of eyes.
Who and what inspires you?
My products are typically led by a process or the material itself, this applies to both visual aspects of the design and the manufacturing of the product. Though I also look to designers like Hans Wegner and Arne Jacobson for their understanding of form and proportions in design.
