MOVEMENT IN STILLNESS - RACHEL GRIMSHAW

PANGOLIN LONDON, UNTIL 14 JANUARY

Stop by Pangolin London in King’s Cross to explore the work of internationally exhibiting ceramic artist Rachel Grimshaw until 14 January. As both an interior designer and a ceramic sculptor, Grimshaw’s forms often resemble the built environment, with a focus on proportion, balance and various other essential architectural concepts. The artist hand builds her forms in both solid Parian porcelain and stoneware, adding body stains and oxides to permeate the full depth of the material with the colour; ‘some in muted tones, others humming with intensity’, meaning that the works transform with changes of light.
