London Design Festival 2022 – ND’s Top Picks
The 20th anniversary edition of London Design Festival is in full swing.
With so many exhibitions, presentations, talks and more to enjoy, we here at New Designers wanted to share some of our top picks of events that you can discover across London until 25 September.

100 prints by Sophie Smallhorn
See Sophie Smallhorn’s making process and creative flow of ideas brought to life with this series of 100 one-off screen prints, displayed in the order in which they were printed.
‘An exhibition of one hundred one-off screen prints displayed in the order in which they are printed. A playful process where a flow of ideas is driven by the process with each print informing the next. The project is an opportunity to push ideas, rework mishaps and explore proportion, colour and composition’

Sé Chic London
Luxury European design studio Sé present a gallery presentation like no other. Discover Sé Collection signature pieces alongside archive work by Dedar and new work from Parisian textile house Papier Français in a setting inspired by the underground, invite-only club scene of the 1970s.

Into Sight
Step into an infinite vista with this immersive, multi-sensory installation by Sony Design.
‘INTO SIGHT is a life-sized media platform installation, where Sony Design plays on sensorial effects that transform simple boundary surfaces into an infinite vista through shifting light, colour and sound.’

Pearl – Central Saint Martin’s
Five graduates of CMS’s Jewellery Design BA present creative works spanning a variety of disciplines, but all inspired by a common element: the pearl.

Old Spitalfields Market – Kingston Uni, London Met and Staffordshire

Green Grads
The organisation of recent graduates dedicated to healing the planet will be at the Planted design show during London Design Festival in King’s Cross, London N1C, over the weekend of September 24 – 25.

Design London
Design London, the largest contemporary design destination at London Design Festival, returns to Magazine London with its second edition (21 – 24 September 2022).
Alongside a raft of exciting international design brands the show sees the return of ‘Discussion at Design London’ – the Kohler-sponsored talks will open with acclaimed designer, Lee Broom; other speakers include Patricia Urquiola, Sabine Marcelis, Jay Blades MBE and Marco Oggian.
