OBJECTS OF DESIRE: SURREALISM AND DESIGN 1924 - TODAY

Uncover the rich history of Surrealism and its fascinating relationship with design in this mesmerising new exhibition at the Design Museum. See iconic examples of Surrealist design, from furniture, interior design, fashion, photography and artworks by world-renowned artists such as Salvador Dalí, Dora Maar and Man Ray, to contemporary designers such as Schiaparelli, Dior and Björk, whose work challenges conventions and explores the unconscious mind.
STRANGE CLAY: CERAMICS IN CONTEMPORARY ART

Step into ‘a garden of weird and wonderful delights’ at the Hayward Gallery’s brand new exhibition, ‘Strange Clay: Ceramics in Contemporary Art’. Strange Clay is the first large-scale exhibition in the UK which explores the unexpected ways in which the medium has been used by contemporary artists, celebrating the tactile and diverse nature of ceramics.
TALK SERIES: HOW TO BECOME A CREATIVE CHANGE MAKER
V&A, 8 – 21 NOVEMBER
This month, London Design Festival and Istituto Marangoni are hosting an inspiring series of talks at the V&A. These free to attend talks will discuss how the designers of the future are shaping the industry for the better. Hear speakers from Disegno, Dark Matters Lab and Creative Conscience explore topics such as ‘How to be Equipped for a Future in Design’ and ‘Design for Positive Action’.
THE NEW BLACK VANGUARD
SAATCHI GALLERY, 28 OCTOBER 2022 – 22 JANUARY 2023
The Saatchi Gallery’s new exhibition, supported by Burberry, features 15 international Black photographers who are reframing representation of the Black figure in art and fashion. The New Black Vanguard is curated by Antwaun Sargent, American writer and critic, and celebrates Black creativity on both sides of the camera, the show features work by Black stylists, models, make-up artists and creative directors.
