New Designers

One Year In 2019

One Year In showcases and celebrates design entrepreneurs who have recently launched their businesses.

Curated by Emily Skinner and spanning both weeks of New Designers, One Year In provides a platform for new design talent to show and sell their work, offering support to emerging creatives as well as giving visitors an opportunity to purchase work, meet the makers and take inspiration from the next generation of design. This year’s lineup covers every corner of design creativity and sees designers responding to some of the most important challenges of our time, from sustainability to social care.

“One Year In is the ideal stepping stone to launch a new brand into the industry. With a huge amount of support and advice available, I think the New Designers team really help to develop your work onto the next level so that it is ready for industry. In particular, the press and marketing team did a fantastic job at showcasing the One Year In work ahead of the show resulting in pre-show interviews and features which was a great opportunity to gain interest whilst advertising the show and the exhibitors.” Rachel Howarth – New Designers One Year In Award Winner 2016
