John Lewis, regularly voted the UK’s favourite retailer, began trading in 1864 with the opening of their first shop in London’s Oxford Street. Since then, and through the efforts of their Partners (staff), they have succeeded in becoming one of the largest multi-channel retailers in the UK, with 50 shops and a growing online business. John Lewis is proud to support New Designers for the fifth consecutive year. With 13 of 17 creative in the John Lewis Design Studio having exhibited at the show themselves at the beginning of their careers, New Designers is key to  John Lewis and its commitment to nurturing the best of UK design talent. Having the best emerging talent under one roof makes it easy for creative businesses to access this talent pool and allows John Lewis to invest in the next  generation of creatives through the New Designers  John Lewis Award for Design and Innovation.
