WHO WE ARE

The Colour in Design Award (CIDA) is a charitable organisation founded by Marianne Shillingford Creative Director of Dulux.  It is an annual award that recognises and rewards outstanding and innovative use of colour in design demonstrated by recent graduates and covers all creative disciplines from textiles to digital design. There is a £1,000 cash prize for each winner to develop projects and business ideas plus ongoing mentoring and practical support from industry experts.

WHY WE SUPPORT

“New Designers helps to kick start a new generation of creative talent who will define the way we live in the future and it’s the heartland of the Colour in Design Awards. It’s the ‘must visit’ event for anyone who wants to discover the mood of the moment and what the next big thing just might be”. Marianne Shillingford, Founder

YEARS SUPPORTING

MEET THE JUDGES

Every year Marianne puts together her judging panel to convene at the Business Design Centre and decide who will win the Colour In Design Award. Many of these judges are ND Alumni, so they’ve been through the process themselves and offer ongoing support to winners and ones-to-watch whilst they build their careers. It’s a stellar line up that proves the kindness of creativity is alive and kicking at New Designers.

The panel includes (plus more):
