W’innovate & Wilko

Section :
  • Week 1
  • Week 2

W’innovate is a new subsidiary within the Wilko group of companies. W’innovate has two main reasons for being:

  • It is a design development company established to provide product & surface pattern and print design services that will be used for the manufacture of both hard and soft products for retail to an end consumer.
  • It has also been established to be a design centre of excellence; a postgraduate training centre for junior designers to gain real hands on commercial experience.

The theory is a simple one. Put together a big retailer (with all the resources a big retailer has) with raw design talent; a combination of Wilko + Innovation if you like and hopefully both win – it is a win win situation all round – hence W’innovate was born.
