Dai Sanders, Consumer Sector Manager, DCA

Dai has worked as a design consultant in the US and the UK for the last 25 years, helping build brands, products and services that positively influence the global consumer. Throughout this time he has used his passion for the environment to champion the complex issue of sustainability with his clients.

Whilst at DCA, he has worked with start-ups and global blue-chip companies on various award-winning device and structural packaging projects in the Medical and FMCG sectors. Major international clients have included L’Oréal, Sanofi, Reckitt, GSK, P&G, 3M, Diageo and Godiva.

Rich Gilbert, Co-Founder, The Agency of Design

Rich Gilbert is the co-founder of The Agency of Design a design consultancy helping organisations design a better future by re-thinking our physical and digital worlds. Part strategist and part designer he is equally involved with the systemic nature of sustainable design challenges as he is with the nuts and bolts of making these projects real.

Emma McKenna, Head of Net Zero, Innovate UK KTN

Emma leads KTN’s work on Net Zero. Emma is extremely passionate about sustainability and circular economy and works across a range of projects that will positively contribute towards the UK’s net zero ambitions.

Emma also leads the Nature Inspired Solutions Innovation Network (formerly SIG), focussed on uncovering the underlying mechanisms used in nature and exploring how it could be applied in the design of new products, processes or systems.

She works in collaboration with academics, industry and government to better understand the landscape and enable better opportunities.
