FEMALE CREATORS TAKE OVER OUTERNET TO CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S MONTH
OUTERNET LONDON, MARCH 2023
Immersive cultural entertainment district Outernet London are celebrating International Women’s Month by inviting a diverse collection of female creators to showcase their unique work on the space’s large scale screens making use of the its state-of-the-art technology. Highlights include: Everything We Touch by Paula Zuccotti, Spaghetti Blockchain by Mika Rottenberg, Women in Art by Maliha Abidi and Huck by Shiny Tiny.

WING GALLERY, CROMWELL PLACE
Stop by Cromwell Place from 15 – 19 March to discover a group show of four Norwegian women artists: Hanne Heuch, Heidi Bjørgan, Kari Dyrdal, Marit Tingleff and Nina Malterud. The exhibition aims to spotlight their noteworthy contributions to ceramic and textile art which are increasingly gaining recognition from global audiences.
PRINT AND PREJUDICE: WOMEN PRINTMAKERS, 1700 - 1930
V&A SOUTH KENSINGTON, UNTIL 7 MAY
This major exhibition at the V&A traces the progress of women artists who made noteworthy but often neglected contributions to the practice and development of printmaking during the 18th to early 20th centuries. Expect a range of magnificent pieces from picturesque landscapes to intimate portraits and vibrant botanical works.
ANTIGONE - WOMEN IN FIBRE ART
RICHARD SALTOUN GALLERY LONDON, UNTIL 18 MARCH
This spectacular group show celebrates the rich Eastern European textile art tradition through the lens of women artists. Experience the work of Jagoda Buić, Barbara Levittoux-Świderska, Ewa Pachucka, Anna Perach, Egle Jauncems and even Magdalena Abakanowicz, whose major solo exhibition is currently on display at the Tate Modern.
DESIGN LUMINARIES: A PRACTICE FOR EVERYDAY LIFE IN CONVERSATION

Join the designers from graphic design studio A Practice for Everyday Life, a graphic design studio known for their conceptual rigor in design, as they share their insights and experiences from the past two decades. They will be in conversation with writer and curator Riya Patel, who has worked as Senior Editor at Icon Magazine and contributes to several design publications including FRAME, Design Anthology and Disegno. During the evening, designer Emma Thomas will delve into the history, growth, and vision of APFEL, as well as its strong focus on materiality and process.
CELEBRATING WOMEN ARTISTS: POTTERY AND PRINTS

Embark on a journey with curators Dr. Hannah Lyons and Florence Tyler as they lead a tour and discussion of the pioneering women artists showcased in two exhibits – Print and Prejudice: Women Printmakers, 1700 – 1930 and The Artist Home: British Art Pottery from the Ian and Rita Smythe Collection. Join this free tour to learn about the crucial role played by women in shaping the practices of ceramics and printmaking.
