New Designers is the UK’s most important event for emerging design. It is a focal point for the top design courses from across the nation to connect with industry, employers, buyers, the media, trend predictors and a design hungry public.

New Designers is dedicated to creating meaningful connections between innovative young designers and industry specialists.

The event provides networking opportunities which lead directly to employment. Alongside this the PR and marketing campaign raise awareness of that years cohort of students within the industry both in advance and during the event.

Each year, New Designers collaborates with leading industry sponsors and invites them to be part of our prestigious awards programme.

These awards offer graduates the chance to win a range of prizes that will boost their transition into the professional sphere.

The carefully curated prizes aim to provide the students with a professional platform to find work placements and commissions, and employment opportunities.

In the run up to New Designers and over the two weeks of the event we host a range of inspiring talks and workshops, offering advice from leading industry professionals. 

These offer students advice and guidance on how to make the most out of New Designers and also provide the tools to start navigating the next steps in their career path.

New Designers is also an opportunity for University tutors to interact with design inspired A-Level and GCSE students, to promote their courses and recruit future students through our dedicated Schools’ campaign.
