ND CONNECTS
New Designers is dedicated to creating meaningful connections between innovative young designers and industry specialists.
The event provides networking opportunities which lead directly to employment. Alongside this the PR and marketing campaign raise awareness of that years cohort of students within the industry both in advance and during the event.
ND AWARDS
Each year, New Designers collaborates with leading industry sponsors and invites them to be part of our prestigious awards programme.
These awards offer graduates the chance to win a range of prizes that will boost their transition into the professional sphere.
The carefully curated prizes aim to provide the students with a professional platform to find work placements and commissions, and employment opportunities.
In the run up to New Designers and over the two weeks of the event we host a range of inspiring talks and workshops, offering advice from leading industry professionals.
These offer students advice and guidance on how to make the most out of New Designers and also provide the tools to start navigating the next steps in their career path.
FUNDING IDEAS
Here are some suggestions to help you fund raise to cover the costs of participating;
- Approach your University to see if they will offer some funding to cover the costs
- Industry specific or local businesses might be interested in supporting your participation and offering sponsorship to cover some of the costs – build a hit list of companies to approach and send them a pitch!
- Organise some fundraising activities at the University to help cover the costs – could you hold a market selling small items that you have made? Or perhaps a fundraising evening that you sell tickets to?
- Get in touch with our team to discuss payment plans
