AWARD PRIZE
London Design Fair are pleased to award the winner with stand space at London Design Fair 2023 (21-24 September) in the brand-new Design Alumni Pavilion. This pavilion gives a platform for exciting emerging talent in the design sector at the largest event during London Design Festival. The winner will be able to showcase their work to thousands of designers, architects, retail buyers and press, as well as design conscious consumers.
As an exhibitor in the Design Alumni Pavilion, the winner will also go through to the final stage of the inaugural Togetherness Design Award 2023, in collaboration with Danish brand OYOY Living Design. The final winner of which will have their product developed and manufactured with OYOY, a working trip to Denmark and the item listed with Glassette for 3 months.
POJECT DESCRIPTION
This collection of 3D design products is comprised of 3 bronze bowls, an ash stool, and an ash dining chair.
The pieces of the collection are all bound by a few different elements – all share a sense of mood, drama and a common language of form found in motion.
The angular yet fluid pieces are inspired by sharks and the way they move through the water.
The development of the collection started with material experimentation, combining materials and processes to see what would happen. Through this, certain effects were produced which resemble a similar atmosphere to the inspiration photographs used as a mood board during the collections conception.
AWARD CRITERIA
London Design Fair is looking for an emerging contemporary furniture designer who has designed a standout finished piece of furniture that works within the home to benefit or enhance family or communal living.
