PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The brief that instigated this project asked UWTSD students to create a design that would instigate Gen Z and Millennials to come up with fresh ideas to promote social change. Kira ran with the tagline ‘let’s start with hi’ which eventually culminated in this project designed for Heineken. Each item in the collection is design to spark conversation that begins with the question ‘What would you change about the world?’. Kira took this question out to her local community and got lots of ideas back. The project is a ‘toolkit to make change’ and the items include illustrations of the issues Kira’s community identified. Playing cards, bottles, bottle openers, chairs, and even social media filters for Instagram and Facebook accessed through QR codes are all geared toward opening conversations and generating new ideas.
