AWARD CRITERIA

The Thrown Contemporary Ceramics Award seeks to uncover the next new name in contemporary ceramics. Functional or non-functional, thrown, slip-cast or hand-built etc, the work should demonstrate an innovative approach to ceramics and the distinctive voice of the artist or maker.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A series of vessels that are inspired by themes of decay, the passing of time, and the marks and traces left by natural forces. Sarah’s wider overall concept is to create a landscape of ruin in light of climate change.
