Design Exchange will be giving a talk during this year’s New Designers, Part 2, on Saturday 8th July. We will be talking with our collaborators- some of the most pioneering digital thinkers, many of whom are involved in creating DE’s current and future augmented reality editions.
The talk will include boundary pushers who mix the physical and virtual worlds using print, augmented reality, virtual reality, digital tech, 3D printing and film. We will be discussing new concepts and ideas that will be changing the design industry over the next few years.
Design Exchange is the first interactive design magazine to use augmented reality with print, allowing the cover and elements of the content to be displayed as 3D animations as well as including interactive films within the written content. Until the launch of our #FutureForecast edition last September this has never been seen before, and it was the fastest selling edition to date.
We are very keen to get visitors to New Designers involved in shaping and experimenting with new ideas we can showcase within the next edition of Design Exchange, which will be printed shortly after the event. Collaboration and the sharing of ideas is key in affecting change within the industry, so come along to get involved with our exciting new experimental process of disrupting and challenging the norm in publishing.
