Course name : BA (Hons) Textile Design
BA (Hons) Textile Design at Buckinghamshire New University is a multi award-winning course, widely recognised in the industry for producing innovative, highly skilled designers.

This course enables students to develop hands-on making skills and equips them to become successful designers. Whilst on this course students explore three main textile design practices – print, knit and surface design – and are challenged, through an experimental approach, to create innovative textile outcomes. We put a strong emphasis on career development, designer identity and industry in the curriculum ensuring that students graduate with a professional portfolio, industry familiarity and impressive presentation skills.

Whilst on this course, students are allocated their own dedicated studio space as well as having ample access to industry standard textile design workshops – including domestic, industrial and Stoll knitting machines, print and dye facilities and digital technologies. Students master materials both through traditional craft methods and using digital software and have full access to other cross discipline workshop facilities – including woodwork, 3D printing, ceramics, metal and more!
