Illustration BA at Westminster offers a flexible, multidisciplinary, multimedia approach to the study and practice of contemporary illustration and visual communication.

Students work on a broad range of projects, self-defined and from industry, to explore and examine a variety of ideas using processes and practices in both traditional and emerging technologies.

This year, Illustration students have shown great resourcefulness and invention exploring themes such as: folklore, historical, natural & fantasy worlds, music, dreams, nostalgia, the spiritual, nuro diversity, social commentary, cultural heritage & personal history.

Students adopt their own figurative, graphic, abstract, decorative and surreal visual languages. The resulting work engages many audiences and takes a variety of visual forms including installation, animation, children’s picture book, graphic novel, web comic, magazine design, decorative design, game art, tattoo art, drawing and image-making for commercial design and conceptual exploration.
