Georgia Mckie Programme Director of Surface Pattern Design at Swansea College of Art, shares with us Graduate experiences at New Designers:
It has been a full 3 years since the H&M talent recruitment team approached the Surface Pattern Design graduates of 2015 at New Designers. H&M were so impressed by the students they met that they approached us to run a live brief in Autumn 2016 resulting in a group of our 2nd year students going to Sweden for 3 months during the summer of 2017 to work at their design HQ. One of our alumnus, and ND One Year On alumnus, Rosie Cook, is now working full time at H&M.
The students graduate this year and will be coming to ND themselves. Who knows who they will attract to their stand (T48) and what amazing cycles of opportunity and employment they will generate. What comes around goes around at New Designers – we love that. We look forward to welcoming the H&M team back too.’
