Surface Pattern and Textiles, UWTSD Swansea - Off The Wall Collaborative Pattern Design Workshop

The Surface Pattern and Textiles team at UWTSD invite you to participate in our ND23 collaborative wallpaper project. Come along and get stuck into 2D and 3D patterntastic concepts for some off the wall wallcoverings. Play with off the wall motifs, pattern, colour, and surface application to put your stamp on our collective work.
During the session we will transform your off the wall pattern creations through augmented reality software and you will be able to visualise them as other product concepts – fashion, cloth, interiors!
Designers of the Future
We will offer an introduction to a handpicked group of UWTSD’s Designers of the Future through some of this year’s portfolio projects. Come and enjoy the work of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students through some beautiful examples produced this year. Enjoy their rich sketchbooks and ideation, innovative surfaces, material exploration across paper, cloth, ceramics, glass and sophisticated final outcomes pitched to their contexts.
See for yourselves the breath of surface pattern and textiles routes available across interiors, fashion, designer maker, and through our recent Mini Moderns collaboration. A member of Swansea College of Art’s Surface Pattern and Textiles team will talk you through the projects, the career routes available and give you the green light to flick through the beautiful books, samples, portfolio pages and ask questions and take part in our following workshop.
