What has your experience taught you about a career in design?

A career in design requires a balance of creativity and resilience. Designers need to be adaptable and able to translate ideas into effective solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential to understand client needs and work effectively with teams. It’s a challenging but rewarding field that allows you to see your ideas come to life and make a real impact.

What design challenges have you faced in the past and how did you overcome them?

Early in my career, I faced the challenge of limited resources. I learned to be resourceful and think creatively to find solutions within constraints. This involved actively seeking feedback from mentors and colleagues, which helped me refine my approach and improve my skills. Overcoming these challenges instilled in me a strong work ethic and the importance of continuous learning.

Who is your design inspiration?

Me. Some might think this is about ego, but let’s think about it differently. You are responsible for managing your own talent, drive, ambition, and inspiration – ultimately you are the architect of your own life and your work. Become your own inspiration and nothing can ever stop you. Be you, vividly, everyone else is taken.
